Centers of Excellence

Structured around priority research themes, the Centers of Excellence advance long-term, mission-driven inquiry into critical water challenges at local, national, and global scales. Through collaborative partnerships with governmental agencies, industry stakeholders, and community organizations, the centers cultivate research ecosystems that accelerate discovery, workforce development, and knowledge dissemination. Collectively, they reinforce Rice’s leadership in water research by integrating technical excellence with societal relevance and global engagement.
